Commercial Description:
Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

Bottle bought at three sons in Wexford PA. very prevalent malt aroma. Nice orange golden straw color, with jus a slight haze. Only a modest light haze. pretty strong carbonation, with some light lingering malt and hops. Some under tatses of bitter grapes and oily very faint butter.

Amber ales are a bore to me and this beer helps in my generalization... pours with an average head, and the lacing is pretty good actually ... smell is just plain jane stuff, as is the taste- some bitterness but it seems a bit jumbled... for the price not 2 bad but falls quite short of a repeat... cement is only sand that sets..

Reddish color. Medium head and body. Mostly grain aroma and taste. Some bitterness on finish.

Bleh. This reminds me of Bluemoon’s Rising Moon. Stinks! Crap I dont even want to talk about this one. However I will rate it with no bias.

Tastes very much like Fuller’s ESB, though without as much body and smoothness. The flavors here aren’t put together as well as they could be, but this is still a good beer. Very much caramel.

Eh, basic amber ale with nothing to write home about. Some okay hops, but there is much better out there.

Pours a slightly hazy, pale red with hints of gold, and an off-white head that lingers to mid-glass and leaves little lacing. Aroma is muted, but what is there is hoppy and fruity, mostly apples and grapes. Mouthfeel is farily bland, but the flavor picks up the hoppy fruit theme and adds a touvh of malty sweetness, all leading to a well rounded finish.

I had not heard of this before I had it at my girlfriend’s. Decent brew, pretty, faint aroma, watery texture. Nothing special. Went well with dinner.
