Commercial Description:
Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

Poured a clear copper color with a thin white head. Little lacing. The aroma was malt and thin bit of citrus. The flavor was malty and sweet, the hops took a back seat in this one. Finish was unremarkable and the palate was watery. Nothing special here.

Copper color with light head. Light and pleasant spicy aroma. Finishes pretty softly on the palate. Not bad.

Pretty malt aroma with some spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. I also got a little earthy perfumey hops peaking through. The color is more orange than red. Flavor is dry citrus hops kind of like an apa. Malty sweetness peaks through but is minimal. The body is rather weak but there is some nice dry resins that hang around.

Bottle from World Market Microbrew sampler; Nose of caramel, light fruit, and floral hops; copper colored with a small beige head; flabor of hop bitterness with some caramel maly balance.

Bottle - pours a ice tea color...little head with little staying power. Smell of slight citrus and grains-grows a little stronger as it slightly warmed. Taste of oranges, slight nut and finishes with a nice hop bite...not to bitter. Mouthfeel medium and little aftertaste. Pleasent beer-will have another.

Pours medium amber with a small white head. Mild malts and hops in the aroma. The malts stand out more in the flavor. Also light bitter hops and maybe some light caramel. Overall a decent beer.

Pours coppery gold, foamy off-white head that disappears almost completely. Very light citrus aroma. Mostly bitter flavor that develops into a more roasted nut finish. Still some stray hoppy/citrus tones in the finish. Some nice malt flavor - very light honeybutter notes. Would buy again. Easy to drink and refreshing.

Color is clear amber-yellow, decent head. Aroma is decidedly malty with strong citrus hints and a whisper of hops. Flavor has nice balance of maltiness and hoppiness, fairly but not unpleasantly bitter, just a touch of orange. A refreshing and jazzy ale.
