Commercial Description:
Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

Excellent beer. Pours a dark amber color with little to no head. Goes down very smooth with explosive tastes of hops and roasted spices. A excellent brew that I highly recommend.

Draft: Rather malty aroma. Light amber color with a decent white head. Starts malty, stays malty, but there’s a bit of balancing hop in the finish. It is definitely more of an unhoppy amber than an APA.

12 oz bottle. Pours a light amber with no head and medium carbonation. Aroma of carmel malt and mild fruitiness. Flavor is mainly sweet malts, caramel, and fruits. Light mouthfeel and dry finish. Refreshing beer.

{unless I am missing some thing the picture is wrong} 12 oz. bottle- color of clear amber , with a decent white head - nose of sweet roasted malts , mild hopps , solvent , and sour milk – taste of sweet malts , caramel , cereal , and mildly hoppy- body sharp , and mildly carbonated – aftertaste of sweet malts , and sligh chalk (dry)

Clear amber, huge head but filtered so it dies fast and has bad lacing. Aroma is lighter fruits, more fruity hops, light caramel and bread. Fruity flavor with a slightly sweet finish, medium to light bodied. Decent beer, but uninteresting.

12 oz, no date seen, poured in pint glass. Large bubbly head dissipates quickly to nothing with little lacing. Pretty, clear amber; the color of sourwood honey. Aroma is faint date bread + citrus - not overpowering - nice. Taste is nutty;- pecan with mild sweetness and smoky finish. Smooth, dry palate. Aftertaste is long hop bitterness. Pretty good beer. Again, as with the Blue Heron Pale, the head is the only complaint here; it must be the style of the brewery.

This beer is the real deal. I enjoy the flavor and the aromas of the true beer barley and hops. This seems to be quite the beer from Mendo!

Pours honey amber w/ a medum, semi creamy froth that recedes to reveal a nice lace w/ loosely knit spatter. Aroma of briskly malted caramel. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers creates a creamy cotton texture. Flavors of malty yet crisp caramel forward w/ a hop profile just big enough to balance it out. The caramel is quite subdued, this creates a nice brew. The finish is bittered perfectly w/ citrus rind. Highly recommended.
