Commercial Description:
Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

A really nice amber ale here. Picked a sampler pack and this one didn’t disappoint at all.

Pours clear amber with a good sized sudsy beige head. The aroma is lightly roasted malt that is clean and lightly spicy with delicate light sweetness. Medium body with standark carbonation. The taste starts off medicinal and metallic with some malt underneath. The finish is sharp and spicy, but still metallic. Not very good. This brewery has been hit and miss for me.

Had Mactarnahans Amber Ale the same night tried this Mactarnahan Amber Ale was much better. This brew is bland, muted, and generic in comparison.

Poured a clear amber color with a small off-white head. The malty aroma was made of mostly caramel notes. Mildly sweet. Flavor of toffee/caramel. Mostly malt flavors with some hop at the finish. Straight up beer nothing too special.

Nice, drinkable brew with a clean, dry finish and great hop aroma and flavor. Maltiness comes through but certainly hop-balanced. I really liked this one.

Bottled. Pours an orange amber with a lacy cream colored head. The aroma is floral with some pine and toffee in the mix. The body and carbonation are medium. The taste is lightly sweet, with some citrus and toffee. Crisp and dry piney finish. I’d like to see a bit more malty backbone to hold the hops up, but otherwise this is fine brew.
