Commercial Description:
Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

Middle of the road amber. Decent enough caramel base with a crisp finish and aggresive hop bitter profile. Some astringent qualities in the finish detracted. Very average.

A nice malty aroma of caramel is evident. The beer pours amber with a decent white head. Initially there is a caramel sweet taste and grows to a more mellowed roastedness. The finish on the palate lingers.

red/amber in colour with big fizy white head that disipated quickly. Big malty aroma. Is trying too much, doesn’t know if it wants to be sweet and malty or hoppy and bitter. Definit late hop added. Dry finish.

Orangish red in color, almost no head. Aroma is very bready, yeasty like blooming baker’s yeast, biscuity, not very inviting. Flavor has sweetness, a winy yeastiness, fruitiness, a solid acidity, and a strong, earthy hop character that culminate into something that tastes like it was infused with Worcheshire sauce.

Bottle. Aroma is medium-to-light, with very noticeable hops aroma. Carbonation is light, but to the credit of the beer. The light carbonation goes well with the beer when served cold. Taste is pleasantly hoppy, with a nice mouthfeel that goes well with meats. Aftertaste is moderately hoppy. Definitely a beer that I would buy again.

Pours dark golden with orangish hues. Aroma of sweet caramel, toffee, and floral hops. Taste is sweet, simple, and malty. A few bready and toasted malt notes, but not enough to keep this beer very interesting. The finish is a little hoppy, but it is not very dry. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with light carbonation. Very simple and unexciting.

Hopy aroma. Taste is somewhat weak but does have that slight citrus taste. Not bad, slightly better than average.
