Commercial Description:
Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

Medium reddish amber pours with a 2 finger fine beige head that fades pretty quickly to a skim that holds. Aroma is sweet grainy malts, candied nuts, fruity floral hops, olive, and citric hops. Flavor has lots of sweet grainy malts, toffee, flora and lime like hops. Finish is sweet fresh barley wtih floral and mild bitter hops not bad but kinda weak.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy copper color with a small frothy white head. The aroma is a sweet fruit and floral hops. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a sweet hop with caramel and a fruity finish. A decent amber ale from Mendocino.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Head quickly subsides to nothing. Caramel and pine aromas. Creamy caramel, lightly carbonated with a lasting and balanced malt and pine finish.

Yet another exercise in mediocrity from the most common style of beer. Coppery in color with a small head. This has very little flavor or aroma, a little bit of caramel and maybe the faintest hint of hops. Bland and mediocre.

Pours a caramel brown with slightly malty, sugary aroma. Flavor is water, malt, and some hops. No secrets here- Not my favorite style. Finish is bitter malt.
