(12oz bottle) Clear apple juice body topped by a small and quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma is mild, medium sweet, cereal, orange, faint grassy. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, orange, bread, some cereal, some floral, lager yeast. Minimal bitterness. Watery light body with minimal crispness. They should ditch this one and spend up to another 21 years to find a lager genuinely worthy of the Red Tail name.

Bottle... Clear, deep golden ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Malty, grainy aroma with notes of mash, apricot, honey and gentle white pepper. Good balance in flavor. Citrusy, peppery hop layer coating a subtle, unassuming malty sweetness. Medium-bodied and tangy with fizzy carbonation. Short, crisp, dry finish.

“It took 21 years to make a lager worthy of the Red Tail name..." A lawnmower beer? Golden amber, pale in body with a head that vanishes nearly instantaneously, it has a sweet caramel aroma devoid of hops. Watery body, it delivers a slightly metallic, caramel malt flavor and no hop bitterness at all. The finish is sugar water. No mas!

Somewhat hazy dark golden liquid with a small, somewhat diminishing off-white head. Mild aromas with some pale malt, mild orange citrus and floral hops. Mild caramel flavors with a lightly herbal middle (wintergreen). Fairly thick in feel. Some flavors that remind me of eating a day old doughnut. Dryer finish with just a hint of herbal hops.

Bottle: Bronze color, light head and lacing. Nose is floral and hoppy, nice malts, some toast, the flavor is balanced, very rich in pale malt with a balanced hop background. Medium body, solid finish. Tasty lager. Premium indeed.
