Jul 16, 2008 Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of caramel, toffee, dark fruits, floral hops, and a hint of alcohol. Flavor pretty malty with caramel and toasted malts. Finishes with a hint of bitterness and very slight warming.Was hoping for more on the flavor and finish.

Jul 8, 2008 12oz bottle. pours chestnut with white clumpy head. toffee malt aroma with some green floral hop notes. flavors are sweet toasted malts, a bit caramelized, touch of some noble hop notes flowery and leathery hops. slightly metalic finish. not bad at all and probably much better straight from the source.

Jun 24, 2008 The aroma is very malty with cereal grains, caramel, and grassy hops. The appearance is amber with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma but very bitter. The palate is typical for the style. Overall I like it but it’s astringently bitter with a soapy quality.

Jun 24, 2008 gives a nice aroma with a deep caramel yet not too heavy flavor. Taste feels a bit astrigent in the after taste. it has some big flaws but is still very drinkable.
