Mendocino White Hawk Original IPA

Light copper color, has decent head and great retention. Very light hop aroma. Medium level of carbonation and mouthfeel. Not very bitter at all with good malt tones.

Starts off with a surprisingly malty aroma. Hops are certainly present but seem oddly balanced. Appearance starts off good, nice clear reddish liquid and a thick head, but the head disappears without much in the way of lacing pretty quickly. Taste is also passable but nothing special, a bit more balanced than I’d like in an IPA. Mouth is medium in body and medium-high in carbonation.

Bottle Pours a hazy golden with an off white head. The head lasts okay and laces decently. Has a faint aroma of malts and light hops. The carbonation is okay. Has a pretty good flavor. More hoppy than I would have thought. That being said not overly hoppy. Has a good balance.Has a lightly oily texture. A medium body. This is very drinkable. The finish is good and has a leasent aftertaste.

A golden brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet & the taste is sweet with mild hoppy flavors. It is not a West Coast style hoppy IPA, the hops are weak.

Light amber and gold in color. Smells hoppy and like a typical IPA. Texture is a little more creamy than I would have expected. Light mild hoppy flavor. Not bad. Not great either. Very drinkable.

12oz bottle: appearance is cloudy brown withe off white head, aroma is pretty faint with hops and hint of malt, flavor decent amount of citrus hops and also a weird twist in the malt of this IPA with a lot of nuttiness but tastes slightly stale.

I had a lot of beers this night and this beer didn’t get my attention. Nothing fancy or new. An overall IPA.

Bottle. pours a copper color. medium bitter hop aroma, grassy weedy hops. Hops seem to be losing their bite so bottle may be past its prime. Caramel malts, gaden weed hops. decent mouthfeel. ok
