| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 14, 2007 Bottle. Small, white, creamy (fully dissapating). Clear, sparkling, light amber colored. Good lacing. Caramel, floral hops, spicyness are all noticed in the aroma. Flavor is light bitter sweet with some metalic hints. Could use a bit more balancing from malts. polomagnifico (536), Saginaw, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 13, 2007 12oz bottle. Aroma was weak but hoppy with some white wine and apple notes. Average sized off-white rocky/creamy head that mostly diminished. Amber body. Flavor starts lightly sweet and bitter and ends moderately bitter with a short finish. Palate is light/medium and watery with flat carbonation. Good riesling flavors and hopps but it’s just an average IPA. Nothing worth going out of your way to get but I’d never turn one down. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 10, 2007 Copper coloured pour with a thin soapy white head. Sharp grapefruit and pine aromas. Quite a bitter taste but not much in the way of aromatics, sweet caramel malt, and some spicy yeast in the retro-nasal. Kind of a mix between British and west coast IPA’s. 00cobraR (1103), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 9, 2007 Pours golden, nice head and lacing. Aroma is hoppy, slight skunk, almost plasticy. Some warm toffee in there as well. Flavor is somewhat one-dimensional, hops dominate, followed by an acidic mid-section, and a bitter, metallic end. Needs way more malt profile to balance. They should call this "hop tea". What’s here is good, just not very good. fattibobatti (246), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2007 I had a 32 once at yardhouse and thought the light amber ipa was refreshing. far from bitter as i would prefer, its balanced and easy to drink. kmeves (1081), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2007 I think this beer gets a lower overall rating because most Americans have gotten used to the American version of the brew. This is a very above average interpretation of the English style in my honest opinion. It has a nice amber color and a large frothy head. Aroma wise, hay and nuts dominate. Flavor is big and the sweetness is well balanced by the bitterness of the English hops. Medium mouthfeel. I have grown to love the American IPA but kudos to someone making a very respectable variation of the English version on this side of the pond. joohefner (380), Isla Vista, California, USA
