Lots of good lacing. Bubbles dance with each sip. IPA wise, it’s not very hoppy. What hops there are are semi shielded by some malts and alchohol...You can still get a bit of pine and grapefruit though. **** update...Folks at Mendoncino must read my post because it seems they have hopped things up a bit on my account.**** jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 16, 2006 Pours slightly hazy amber with a one-finger white head. Grassy hop aroma with notes of grapefruit and bread. Great hop flavor, if a little light, but the malts seem off. The finish is a tad astringent. Drinkable. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 16, 2006 12oz - Aroma is subtle hops and malt. Pours transparent dark yellow with nice head and decent lacing. Flavor is metallic and not very good. A malt beginiing fades to just a touch of hops. Not strong and not an IPA in my book. Palate is watery and sticky. Not a good example of the style. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 16, 2006 Bright copper with a 2-finger creamy & cream-colored head that lasts. Aroma is nuts with honey & light citric hopping. Fruity hops come out in the flavor with a sugary sweetness, mild nuttiness & a sharp, tangerine bite. I have been starting to tire of IPAs, but this one has enough character to turn me back around.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 14, 2006 Don’t like. I am an IPA guy, this is not a very good one. Way too light on hops, and that is like rule #1 of things NOT TO DO when brewing an IPA. ATOmemphis (200), Franklin, Tennessee, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 10, 2006 Fruity taste, but not a particular standout. orangy-golden color. Not impressed. Nice head on the poor, light lacing on glass. Finish left something to be desired. I’ll call this just average. Not bad, not particularly good. Steib (578), Queen Creek, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 10, 2006 Medium golden brown color. Not too many fruit tones in the aroma, more of the malts make their presence. A lot of carbonation, light in the mouthfeel. Sweet and a little bitter. More malts than hops. Alcohol makes a presence in the end just not overwhelming. A decent drinkable beer. Likeburning (149), Franklin, Tennessee, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 9, 2006 This beer has an orange/amber color akin to other IPAs with the signature creamy head. Hoppy like it should be, but lacking the fruit hints that most IPAs are known for. It was a smooth taste, but that was one of the few outstanding qualities.
