bottle - Pours a nice amber color with a thin head that lingers for awhile and leaves some lacing. The aroma is hoppy with some light citrus. The flavor is of course dominated by the hops with a pretty good malt balance. The 9% alcohol is well masked. The body is of moderate thickness and the hoppy finish lingers for quite awhile, as expected. It’s no Dogfish Head 90 min, but it’s still a good beer.

Big thanks to CaptainCougar for this! Great redish-brown body, minimal head. Heavy fruit and hops dominate the aroma. Large hop taste, some light malt accents. Very clean ending, overall nicely balenced.

Pours out a nice amber color with aa nice beige head. Aroma is hoppy and citrusy. Flavor is hoppy, malty, with some sweetness to it. Only thing is the finish was somewhat weak to me.

12 oz bottle courtesy of jimbowood. Deep amber tinted brew. Creamy off-white head. Great fresh malt aroma, bread, toast, some light crystal sweetness. Very fresh smelling. Sweet citrusy hops. Orange/grapefruit and more of that great fresh toasted malt character. Flavour is also very good, soft texture, sweet toast and pale malts. Fruity hop flavours of orange, grapefruit, some pineapple and a bit of pine and light resin. Well-balanced and extremely drinkable. Lingering lemon/orange citrus flavour.

Bottle: Translucent amber, slight golden vibrancy, large rocky off-white head, tacky lacing, light carbonation.   Sweet malt nose, slight graininess, a bit of rind, some tea and tobacco as well.   Smells inviting.   Well balanced malt and hop character on the tongue, slightly bright citrus rind with an small alcoholic closer.   Big, but not over the top, clean, with only a bit of alcoholic roughness.   One of the better Mendocino brews I have had.   Moderate body, mouthfeel isn’t as thick as I would have liked.   Drinks like more like an IPA than an IIPA, which makes this one somewhat dangerous.   Thanks Larry for the bottle!

Had been looking for this for quite some time, and I found some yesterday when least expected. Pours out dark red in color, with a pretty massive amount of hops flowing from the aroma. Taste is malty, sweet, and pretty hoppy. Not bad, certianly worth drinking, and I am glad I only drank 1 so I have 5 more to cellar. Nice. Update. After I drank it I liked this so much that I fucked the bottle.
