This special edition Winter Ale is a smooth, full-bodied Oatmeal Stout. A rich blend of roasted barley and chocolate malts imparts wonderful coffee and chocolate flavors and aromas. The soft creaminess of this ale comes from the generous amounts of Warrior and East Kent Golding hops.

Bottle, 2 yrs old. Pours with a decent head that disappears. This is surprisingly good after these years, retaining a rich, dry, lustery character, full of coffee and oatmeal and a touch of sweetness. A little oxidation has set in but a light sherry character weds everything rather well. A touch of brine and a light coffee finishes makes this an easy drinker. Excellent.
