Commercial Description:
This special edition Winter Ale is a smooth, full-bodied Oatmeal Stout. A rich blend of roasted barley and chocolate malts imparts wonderful coffee and chocolate flavors and aromas. The soft creaminess of this ale comes from the generous amounts of Warrior and East Kent Golding hops.

Bottle. Pours a pitch black color, perfectly-formed cocoa-tan fluffy head, with wet dripping lacing. Big roasted oats in the nose, caramel, nougat, chocolate, Goobers, and coffee. Huge chocolate presence in the flavor, with that Goober feel, coffee, caramel, honey, and a great aftertaste that’s real roasty. Very smooth, thick body, sticky mouthfeel, and very creamy. Enjoyed it.

This bottle brew from Indianapolis, IN poured a small sized head of foamy dark brown colored finely sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind softly carbonated opaque black colored body and a very nice lacing. The aroma contained mild chocolate mild roasted malt and mild bready\ dough notes. The semi-thick yet crisp mouth feel was tingly from start to finish. The flavor containe dnotes of mild coffee, roasted malts, dark malts, and soft rye bread.

Bottle. Small fizzy light brown head that mostly diminished, spotty lacing, opaque, and a dark brown hue. The nose was malty, chocolate, roasty, some hops and some coffee. Ditto for the flavor. The mouthfeel was mostly smooth and slightly tingly. Medium-full bodied. A good and nicely balanced beer, not complex, easy to drink, and worthy of a try.
