Had this beer on 9/21/2000. Aroma is a sweet scent with tone of alcohol. Color is hazy gold with floties in it. Carbonation is ok with very little head. Taste is light, and mild. Starting with a light body it goes down smooth. Finish is an odd sweet malt flavor back by a mild bitterness. Overall it’s a very bad Pale and not a good drinking beer.

on tap-pours an off white head that laces and copper color. Aroma is bold, tangy, citrus-grapefruit hops. Taste is balanced medium malt and bitter hops. Good carbonation.

Draft 6 oz’er at the brewpub, 9/18/06: Nice dark amber with a sticky head. Aroma smells like ?? floral and hoppy but like a fresh baked casserole or something? Nice full malty beer with perfect twirl of hoppiness. Quite excellent.

Bomber poured a hazy amber with a large lasting ivory head. Aromas of slightly sour grain, , hint of honey and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, and a touch of citrus with a smooth lingering finish. Not a terrible beer just very unremarkable for an easy to brew style.

nice looking beer. if i were another beer, i would certainly want to date this one just so i could try and cop a feel. thick bottle conditioned alpen glow orange, the head was piled up like gauze over a gaping wound. not much aroma, however, and after twenty deep sniffs i didn’t feel that i was becoming any better acquainted, so i scribbled the obvious: a little tan malt and a sparing use of aroma hops. fairly tasty, quenching drink after the big carbonation chills-- a milky feel and a reasonable balance of dry malty toast flavors and moderate bitterness. now that i know her better, i’m not so anxious for a second date.

Big bubbles cling to the edge for dear life, but lose. Amber in color with a slight haze. Mouthfeel goes back and forth between being a little watery and decently weighted. Mild carbonation. Malts weren’t bad; bready and earthy. Hops were lightly flowery, with a bitterness that slowly builds in the finish and aftertaste. Kind of perfume-like and herbal. Subtle, sweet orange notes become overpowered by bitter grapefruit. Lesser notes of orange and lemon.

Virtually no head. Body is medium amber. Aroma is moderately hoppy (grapefruit, perfume), lightly malty (cookie), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, heavily bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Unbalanced, and the aroma isn't especially appealing either.

Bready sweet nose. Like an APA’s hopping. Soft malty middle with a light suggestion of cinnamon.
