May 15, 2008 Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A black beer with a brown shine under a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and hints of smoke from black malt, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Sep 28, 2007 Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Dark brown, small head. Evident licorice aroma. medium bodied, a bit tarry with resiony finish. Uncomplicated and a bit edgy, but still good.

Sep 28, 2007 Bottled. Ruby red colour, brown mediumsized head. Aroma is smoked and roasted malts along with dry dark fruit and chocolate. Flavour is very much the same with smoked wet wooden hints added. Pleasant.

May 18, 2007 Cask gravity at Reading BF. Powdery, choc porter. Simple, but fine. Drinkable if not exactly intense. Choc powder.

Dark ruby, almost opaque color, nice expresso head, some lace. Some roasted and papery notes in the nose. Coffeish, coffee beans all over. Clean, a bit lagerish product. Nicely drinkable.
