Poured a murky, red brown color with a small, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of cherries, light vinegar, some caramel, and nuts. Taste was tart up front, light cherry, wood, and saccharine. Tart finish, nice.

33cl bottle acquired in trade with CaptainCougar (big thanks for this!). Bottle labeled BB 05-2004. Poured a medium to deeper mahogany color with a very small sized off white head. Aromas of vinegar, cherries, woody, and caramel. Tastes of vinegar, cherries, berries, and some wood. Sweet and sour. Lighlty tart. This may have been old, but I really was into it.

Thanks to hopdog. So the last rating for this one was in April of 2005. Pours a hazy brown with a ton of chestnut notes and a smaller bubbly tan head that left some lace. Aroma of floral, funky, caramel, woody notes, perfume sweet and malty. Flavor of cherries, woody, light tartness, malty sweetness, caramel and a touch of sourness. Decent mix of sour/sweet.

Bottle from Michael Jackson Rare Beer Club, sampled on 7/14/2003: Dark ruby brown color with a thick lacing head. Sweet and sour sauce aroma. Very strange flavor unlike anything I’ve ever had. Starts caramel malty sweet and woody with underlying tartness throughout and finishes fruity like bing cherries blended with strawberries. What it lacks in balance, it makes up for in complexity. A very unique beer. If you think you know all there is about Flemish sour ales, try this!

Bottle. Dark red-brown with medium-sized short lasting head. Sour! malt-vinegar, lactic, swet with some dark chocolate, dry finish, full bodied with abv taken into consideration. Yes, a very good beer. Only 3,5% ? Thanks a lot Jbrus.
