| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2007 Bottle from dickinsonbeer. Brown body with a redish hugh and a tiny off-white head. The aroma is very bretty, lots of cherry, horseblanket, caramel and light vinegar. The flavor is moderately sour, moderately sweet, with cherries, caramel, vanilla, berries and a touch of chocolate late. Medium body is lightly carbonated and soft. This is lacking many of the qualities of a great Flemish Sour, but still quite enjoyable. This did start to wear on me after 3/4 of the bottle. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2007 draft at 3F brewpub: clear reddish brown. Had no idea this was retired, cool. Aroma is woody vanilla with darker cherries, caramel, vinegar, the usual... very Rodenbachish. Medium bodied with a tart sweet finish. Too sweet for the style, but my first ever sour on tap. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 1, 2007 On tap, poured into a tulip. This ale pours a deep ruby color with a small quickly diminishing off-white/beige head. Leaves a fair amount of light lacing around the glass. The aromas are that of sweet/sour cherries, light wood, and notes of some vinegar. The vinegar smell is not overpowering, and somehow finds a way to blend with the other flavors to make a smooth, refreshing drink. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied with a good dose of carbonation. The ale finishes clean and dry with a slight hint of sourness left on your tounge. Nicely done. Dickinsonbeer (3494), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 31, 2007 Pours a deep hazy brown with ruby amber highlights and a thin gray- off-white head with a good lacing. Aroma is light coppery-metallic, steely, cherry pits, pediococcus- cherry pie and sour lactic-ness. Lightly sweet cherry flesh, sour and lightly tart middle with cherry pie filling, light astringency with a cherry pit- almond-like finish. Smooth and very drinkable. Still plenty of this at Somerville supersaver for $2.70 a bottle as of May 2007. railcat1 (582), Orlando, Florida, USA
