motelpogo (4111), Plzen, Czech Republic Mar 29, 2008 rbesg07, bottled. simple but very drinkable mead - traces of vanilla and almond in the aroma, very thick, some warming alcohol and a buttery finish
Ungstrup (10824), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 12, 2008 Bottled at RBESG 2007. An amber mead. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of honey and rosehips combined with light notes of spices. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of both honey and rosehips. Rastacouere (5201), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 2, 2007 Clear copper drink leaving massive legs on the glass sides. Heady, herbal, minty and alcoholic nose. Not as complex as the best examples and not as soft-cornered. Its high alcohol translates into the occasional rough edges. Nonetheless, this is a toasty, thick and rich polish mead that is undeniably very tasty. Magic_dave6 (3476), Glasgow, Scotland Sep 26, 2007 Bottle thanks to Rick at rbesg07. Rick left some of this in the bottle and i took it home so got a better alround rating. Aroma is sweet honey hints of white grapes, lightly spicey notes and a little alcohol. Taste is a similar bag of tricks, the white grapes add a desert wine character to it, it slips down incredibly easily and i found myself in a mess as i was also drinking a few other meads this nite. omhper (10140), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 26, 2007 Bottled at RBESG. Clear amber. Balsamic and warming with lots of honey aroma and flavour. Sweet and full bodied with soft mouthfeel. A pleasant mead without of flavours.
