johntreeter (116), Greenwood, Indiana, USA Sep 29, 2008 12 oz bottle that pours a clear brownish amber color. Thin fizzy head that did not stick around or leave any lacing. Very little on the nose, maybe some sweet maltyness. Flavor is some roasted and caramel malts with some balance of bitterness and a little cardboard in the finish. Light to med body, lively carb, watery texture and feel. Nothing good or bad about this beer, just plain.
jbrus (4305), Delft, Netherlands Nov 30, 2008 Bottle@Home, 3.2% ABW. Malty, herbal and sugary aroma. Brown colour, beige irregular head, few lace. Light sweet, light malty, light bitter, some herbs, chewing gum. Thinnish. Like a bock mixed with water. EithCubes (1854), Indiana, USA Nov 29, 2008 After multiple pitchers on draft at the local Video Saloon, I’d come to know this as light-bodied, having a grainy, husky caramel malt taste, cleaner than many and not something I’d mind repeating. Now from the bottle - nose is dusty, lightly grainy but now showing some bread and sweet caramel malt. Dark amber pour with a lightly lacing beige head. Taste reasonably try with just a touch of bitterness, aromatic character slowly creeping in. Too many Coke notes. Carbonation is weak (and worse - cheap) and the finish sours somewhat. Light body with a pinch of creaminess. One of the better macros available. kidmartinek (776), austin, Texas, USA Nov 28, 2008 Pours deep amber with a 1 inch off white head that diminishes quick enough. Aroma of mild dark malts. Flavor is mild, unsurepticious and indicative of a beer that most people could drink. Body is a bit sharp but not overly so. But too much, you know what i mean? Finish is, belive it or not, tart. colts9016 (197), Idaho, USA Nov 28, 2008 Pour amber copper brown with a thin white head.
Nose is roasted malt caramel and molasses
Taste is Roasted Malt sweet sugar and a touch of hops.
Finish is clean on the beginning and a bit rough on the finish.
Overall a simple beer to drink but there is much better. A budget minded beer. esjaygee (918), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Nov 28, 2008 Clear copper with a beige fading bubbly topper. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, and brown sugar. Body is a little cloying and syrupy and over carbonated with a cola like finish with a not so pleasant aftertaste. There’s some sweet malt in there but mostly just another crummy Michelob.
