shendrix (473), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Oct 14, 2006 This is a credible heffe from a macrobrewer--credible, but not great. The nose presents an interesting banana bread aroma, and the flavor brings out more sweet yeasts with notes of banana and vanilla. Cloudy to the point of opacity, with only the hing of a head. The least bit of malty hops comes out in the finish, but only enough to flirt with your taste buds. Overall, a drinkable brew, but not great by any means.
nqualls (571), Tennessee, USA Nov 3, 2008 Bottle. Poured a clear yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of banana and clove. Flavor was weak. BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Aug 8, 2008 Weak watery malt body with a lot of banana flavors, kind of reminiscent of banana bread, but cold and liquified of course. Kind of sweet with some citrus bitterness adding balance. Not great, but not undrinkable. subcell (95), Portsmouth, Virginia, USA Jun 30, 2008 I found this to be one of the better Michelob products thus far. It was actually very pleasing! It had a great nose and had the classic banana flavor but very little clove. There was some citrus aroma and was sweet but not overly sweet. This is a great product from AB that is easy to drink for a great price. phishpond417 (1520), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jun 4, 2008 A fairly decent hefe, considering the source.. Plenty of wheat and citrus fruit aromas and a soft, sweet, mouthfeel. pours a light cloudy golden colour with a medium sized white head. Crafty07 (343), Lexington, Kentucky, USA May 14, 2008 Sweet and aromatic interpretation of one of the best beer styles in the world, a German Hefeweizen.
Michelob does a good job, despite being an A-B product.
Nice job.
