Commercial Description:
Michelob Celebrate Vanilla Oak features distinct vanilla, caramel and aged oak flavors for a full-bodied, well-balanced taste and warm aroma. Celebrate Vanilla Oak is brewed using two-row barley, caramel malts, carapils malts as well as imported hops. It is aged on whole vanilla beans and bourbon barrel oak. Ideally served with dessert or as an after-dinner drink, Celebrate Vanilla Oak is also enjoyed in a snifter, allowing the beer’s aromas to be intensified.

In the ridiculous screw-cap bottle. Purchased in the grocery store for $6.99. Burnt amber in color with a white head. A weak aroma of mild vanilla. Head dies quickly. Beer has a raspy, abrasive palate- the bourbon spiked alcohol burns in an unpleasant way. I like the flavors: cherry, vanilla (in a huge first flavor bolus), mapel syrup, bourbon and oak. This is possibly the best ABC product that I’ve ever tasted, but that’s not saying much. The big flaw to this beer is the serious alcohol burn that does not get any playing time with other features. It needs more malt balance to the body to contain this kind of fire. After you’re done with this, you feel an interesting bourbon taste in your mouth.

The body is a little thin but the nose and flavor are excelent. A big shocker from a macrobrew! Nice subtle vanilla aroma and mild caramel notes. Even with the 10% ABV it is still very drinkable but not very interesting. Worth seeking out.

Pour is reddish amber with no real head other than a ring of light brown around the glass...smell is sweet with oak and some vanilla, but not overwhelmingly or richly...its like it is just there...also alcohol...thin watery mouthfeel...some vanilla, but sourish malt flavor really dominates...sticky sour finish...

Pours amber with an orange tint an an off white head. Quite sparkling. Aroma is maple syrup, alcohol, caramel, toasted bread, a hint of bourbon, and a good amount of vanilla. I have to say I love it. The flavor is sweet vanilla malt. There is a huge vanilla taste to this beer. Malty and smooth with some toasted notes to compliment the vanilla. I like vanilla and this has mad crazy vanilla. Gets sweeter as you go, and too much to drink more than a glass of per sitting. Ok I don’t really love it, but the huge vanilla taste was a thrill for me. A bit thin in the body.

Bottle. Nice ruby-amber beer with no head. Sweet aroma with some vanilla over a bit of DMS. Sweet vanilla flavor with some cola that overpowers any grain/malt underneath. Sweetness lingers. Vanilla is way overdone.

750 ml bottle poured a clear copper with a small, diminishing amber head. Aromas of vanilla, carmel, brown sugar and light bourbon. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of brown sugar, vanilla and a hint of wood with a warming, lingering sweet finish.

Nice dark amber color, small tannish head that had a decent hangt ime then faded to leave a bit of a lace behind.Malty sweetish aroma ,some hints of maybe some bourbonesque or wine like smell coming through as well as maybe some caramel or toffee. The flavor is sort of unbalanced you get a little malt up front then it turns thin and alcoholic with a funky sort of vanilla taste and some earth tones coming through in the middle some oak notes but mostly i just get that sickening vanilla taste and alcohol. This seems more like a cheap high octane ML then anything to me.It’s not worth the $20 to try but hey gotta go once around .

Publix Supermarket, Tallahassee, Fl. - 750 ml bottle - malt liquor screw-off top - you’d think for $15.99 they could spring for a cork or at least a cap! Pours a dark copper with a wispy white head. Fresh, sweet aroma with some hints of cognac and vanilla extract. Flavor is smooth with some vanilla notes, caramel, candied sugar, and some brief nuttiness. Mouthfeel is silky and creamy, and coats the tongue. Good belly warming effort by the big boys - slightly impressed.
