Commercial Description:
Michelob Celebrate Vanilla Oak features distinct vanilla, caramel and aged oak flavors for a full-bodied, well-balanced taste and warm aroma. Celebrate Vanilla Oak is brewed using two-row barley, caramel malts, carapils malts as well as imported hops. It is aged on whole vanilla beans and bourbon barrel oak. Ideally served with dessert or as an after-dinner drink, Celebrate Vanilla Oak is also enjoyed in a snifter, allowing the beer’s aromas to be intensified.

Sweet vanillia nose. Water mouthfeel and a taste of cream soda. VERY sweet.

This one starts out OK. The pour is hazy ruby copper with aroma of grainy pale malt, some caramel, big vanilla. The taste is sweet, with a lot of caramel malt, heavy vanilla, some oaky bourbony hints. It gets hotter and loses complexity toward the end. Not bad, but not worth the high price.

I bought this as a joke for a friend...and what a joke it was. Came in a weird, bullet-shaped bottle with a plastic lid. I’ll spare you the details on this one....just think of regular Michelob mixed with cream soda and malt liquor. As for the alleged bourbon barrel again...it kinda made me with I were drinking a bourbon. Shit, this stuff sucks.....I am gonna go get a bourbon.

This beer is definitely made with real ingredients - Anheuser-Busch puts real Madagascar vanilla beans and used staves from old bourbon barrels in its lagering tanks, not extracts. To me, the appearance is very appetizing especially when enjoyed in a snifter glass. Depending on temperature, will get different aromas - at first, vanilla, but when a bit warmer, you will smell the bourbon. A wonderful dessert beer.

2005 edition. Poured a hazy dark amber color. Aroma of sweet aged with notes of vanilla and some woody character. The flavor was of vanilla and malt. Almost tastes like drinking a scotch and water.

meh, nothing too crazy about this beer other than it actually did have some vanilla and oak flavors and it was brought to us via michelob. the flavors were very extract based, not like real flaovrs, and i didnt get any of the carmel they spoke of. not gonna lie though, it got me a little drunk :)

The nose on this had a vanilla and alcohol, and this seems to be off. The smell is like imitation vanilla. The taste is weird. The is some malts and the alcohol is well hidden. But the fake vanilla is all over the place. And I can’t find any oak? Not really bad, as the %10 will make this worth the time, but not something I will try to find again.

Though this brew has a fully vanilla wafer cookie nose and flavor, it seems contrived. The vanilla does not mix with the rest of the beer. It kind of sits on top feeeling sickly sweet. It definitely hides its 10% character well. Over all, this brew would have benefited from some hop character and less vanilla. Overly agressive and not refined. A weak thin tan head only makes it worse.
