Commercial Description:
Michelob Celebrate Vanilla Oak features distinct vanilla, caramel and aged oak flavors for a full-bodied, well-balanced taste and warm aroma. Celebrate Vanilla Oak is brewed using two-row barley, caramel malts, carapils malts as well as imported hops. It is aged on whole vanilla beans and bourbon barrel oak. Ideally served with dessert or as an after-dinner drink, Celebrate Vanilla Oak is also enjoyed in a snifter, allowing the beer’s aromas to be intensified.

05 drank in 09, shoulda held on to this one. I imagine at first it was an over carbonated, oak powered Michelob abortion. 4 years later: smooth oak, vanilla balance with caramel some cherry, very pleasant! Not worth $10+, mine was free, but if it came back out I’d get another one for $6-8

first off i must say i thought the screw off top was wack....but anyway.the celebrate poured semi-clear orange with very little head.the aroma was a mix of vanilla, oak, hops and what i would describe as belgian sourness.the flavor was much in the same with a little brandy and chocolate thrown in as well.i must say i was pretty impressed and i dont see what the low ratings are about.

Pours amber with an orange tint an an off white head. Quite sparkling. Aroma is maple syrup, alcohol, caramel, toasted bread, a hint of bourbon, and a good amount of vanilla. I have to say I love it. The flavor is sweet vanilla malt. There is a huge vanilla taste to this beer. Malty and smooth with some toasted notes to compliment the vanilla. I like vanilla and this has mad crazy vanilla. Gets sweeter as you go, and too much to drink more than a glass of per sitting. Ok I don’t really love it, but the huge vanilla taste was a thrill for me. A bit thin in the body.

2006 x-mas set...red amber no head present...smells heavy syrupy, very mild oak muddled...instant sweetness, vanilla present...6.5 for flavor would be ideal but I can’t give this a half score so i went ahead with the 7...well done Michelob, well done, an unexpected delight...easy going for the 10% that it is, although the finish is very tainted with pure alcohol

Picked up a duel gift pack of Vanilla Oak and Chocolate w/ two snifters at Publix #469. This may be the most beutiful pour I’ve seen on any A-B! Reddish amber, a lager?, offwhite thin head. Alcohol meniscus on the snifter. Smells like a sweet yellow cake. A ton of vanilla flavor. Creamy texture, not a lot of carbonation. Definite oak in the finish. Overall it reminds me of a drug store vanilla perfume. Different, refreshing, but flavor for a beer. Definitly the better one of the two in the box set. Give it to a newbie...

A 24 oz bottle, I could not find a born on date other than 2006. The beer poured a brownish read with a small tan head that disappeared. Smell of vanilla malt and cookies. The taste is cream soda, it is good. The carbonation looks heavy but does not taste so. A good mouth feel with a mild mouth coating.

Comes in a tiny, twist-off 7floz bottle. Marked as Michelob Celebrate Oak-Aged Dark Vanilla at 10%. I really can’t find anything bad about this beer (other than the small bottle size and the twist-off). Pours an opaque brown color with no real head to speak of. Some alcohol legs run down the sides of the glass. Aroma is of banana, vanilla, figs, oak, sugar and chocolate. Has a smell that I could best describe as a mix between an Eisbock and a Belgian Quad. Taste is of vanilla, chocolate and banana, and is very upfront and bold with all three (a bit unrefined). Oak comes on in the finish. Goes down creamy smooth (as expected from a 10%). Bubbles are very soft. Alcohol isn’t well hidden. Pretty good beer overall, I wish A-B would make more stuff of this quality.

Purchased a 750 for Christmas two years back. Smells of vanilla and caramel. Tastes very much the same, with a decent oak flavor to it. Of all the Michelob products I’ve had, this is on the top. I hope that they bring it back at some point.
