Poured a nice amber hue with a white head, which faded fast. The vanillia was very present to this beer in pretty much took up most of the aroma and flavor. There were some minor bourbon notes but the sweet vanilla pretty much reigned supreme. Alcohol was well hidden. It was a smooth drink from start to finish and seems good as a dessert beer. Good color and texture. Not sure of the style they were trying for but thing go down smooth. Alchohol is not noticeable for 10%. worth a try if you can find it. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA

Gotta chime in on this-a nice box, a nice bottle, stylish and then-you put a screw top on it like a 40? Alrighty. Not too bad looking-very dark caramel with a quickly fading head. Color good, head bad. Nose-alcohol, cherry, caramel, kinda oaky. Taste-apple, alcohol, vanilla, rich brown sugar, butter, very light bourbon (coming off as more of a rich cherry), honey, and very rich fig. Very well done, and I think the vanilla comes across just right. I did not find the vanilla overpowering or unbalanced at all. My only complaint is that the alcohol is way too upfront, but not by much. An excellent attempt by Augie to make a real beer. Props. Very thin smooth mouthfeel. Has a very distinctive vanallia rum flavor, like Cruzan Vanilla Rum. Kevin (1920), Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 27, 2005 a nice pour, ruby hints in a rich mahogany body with a cream head. aroma has vanilla, sugar, and some sort of berry. interesting. sweet flavor, very sweet, but not cloying. cotton candy and vanilla are present. a bit butter toffee in the finish with some noticeable alcohol, but i’m not complaining about noticing alcohol on a 10 percent sipper on a sunday morning while trying to get the smoker burning in the cold and rain. i will have brisquet, oh yes i will. back to the beer, caramel edge to this as it warms that also brings out more vanilla. a slick mouthfeel that coats my tongue. there is also something yarn like. i am enjoying this. this goes well with an iced honey bun jtxx (141), san antonio, Texas, USA

Copper with a small off-white head. It’s just missing something in the flavor. Too much vanilla maybe, but overall a nice brew. Cletus (5060), Connecticut, USA

Taste is lightly fruity with some pine sole notes and a light citrussy aftertaste. Alcohol is well masked. Pretty decent overall. I’ll lay a bottle down for next year to see if some of the fruity notes that pack quite a punch mellow out a bit. Krausen (102), USA

A big shocker from a macrobrew! Nice subtle vanilla aroma and mild caramel notes. Even with the 10% ABV it is still very drinkable but not very interesting. Worth seeking out. tennisjoel (951), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 26, 2006 Strong Vanilla. No confusing the flavor here. Very sweet. All malt with little to no hops. Very drinkable. Got this for my buddy who had this on tap down in Seaworld where they give you free samples (since Seaworld is sponsored by Anheuser Busch). He said he liked the tap version better, but still thought this was good. Of course, his palate isn’t quite adjusted to the more hoppy beers. Give Michelob some credit for trying to "dress up" their beer. A valid effort. Still not worth the overpriced $19 which I paid for it (even though it contained 2 snifters in a gift set). Also, at least they should put a cork in the bottle if they’re going to charge that much for it. The screw off cap is cheesy.
