jason (1483), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 7, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark red/brown body with thin head. Aroma is light chocolate, light roast and sweetness. Flavor is light choclate, roast, caramel. My biggest problem with the beer was the fact on how unbalanced the flavors were making it very difficult to drink a whole bottle of in a timely manner.
lovemyipas (420), sw burbs, Illinois, USA Aug 20, 2008 pours dark brown with red highlights and a one finger fluffy brown head. has a medium body with descent lacing and good carbonation. aroma is chocolate malt with a touch of caramel malt hops and coffee. flavors is the same as aroma but stronger especially the coffee. not bad of a session porter and probably one of abs’ best beers! SturmWulf (63), USA Aug 16, 2008 Very nice aroma of caramel, chocolate and a hint of roasted coffee. Poured a very deep brown with a reddish tinge. Fantastic light-tan head that was large, creamy with a touch of foam and it left thick lacing on the pint glass. Head very slowly thinned down a creamy cap. Flavor was very nice with a slightly sweet caramel, light roasted coffee with a light flavor of dark chocolate.
A light to medium body, with a slightly thin but slick texture, average carbonation with a abrupt, dry slightly bitter and sweet finish. I served this at 50 degrees in a pint glass. I hesitated buying this because its AB. But, I am glad I did buy it. This is a very nice Porter and while I have had better, I definitely have had a lot worse. A very, very good Porter by AB. I will definitely buy and drink again. GREAT JOB on this one Michelob! posty (3), Crestwood, Kentucky, USA does not count Aug 15, 2008 While not a bad porter, per se’, Michelob has once again produced a beer that is just too sweet. Sweet, thin molasses dominates the mild chocolate and roasty charateristics leaving one wanting more balance, more hop presence and a stronger, darker malt to underscore the syrupy tones. The beer does look nice, with a beige head of acceptable thickness and nice lacing. For the money it’s okay, but for two dollars more you can get a nice micro that surpasses this beer in every way. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Aug 13, 2008 Date: 07/17/2008

the_federalist (198), Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA Aug 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown. Small head with some lacing. Aroma is faint but of lagerish yeast and highly kilned malts. Flavor is mildly sweet, slightly bitter, slightly tart. Lots of roasty flavors to go around and the mouthfeel is not unpleasant. I don’t know what people are complaining about; this is not a bad beer.
