In fact you cannot even really tell that you have drank anything. Like water, or perhaps something to wash your other glassware in. Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Mar 9, 2003 I had this side by side with Amstel Light (a colleague of mine bought this just to tease me about beer, although he is on a low-carb diet and so happily finished a good part of a six-pack). I was stunned at how EXTRAORDINARILY pale this was. I've never seen a beer this pale, and even Amstel Light looked rich and malty by comparison. There was virtually no flavor. I've said that before for other light beers and American Standards, but this is at a whole new level of lightness. We were talking around the table about fantasy baseball players and the emphasis was on "value"--so I asked, at this point, why drink Ultra when tap water would appear to be better value? The best you can say for this beer is that it is not offensive, because there is simply nothing in this beer other than water. IrishBoy (2719), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Jul 5, 2006 Nose is corn and rice. pale gold with a white head, luckily I got a sample at a Fourth Of July party, and didn’t have to buy a bottle. Flavor is typical pale lager without any hop taste. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA

It does not help this beer that it is supposed to be a member of the premium Michelob line since its only got just enough bitter taste to qualify for beer in a blind taste. On the pour a lucent gold color, the head modest in size and white in color, the texture frothy and the lace a very thin sheet. Nose is crisp and clean, the start slightly sweet, top cadaverous. Finish stinging in its acidity, hops scarce, dry and a totally forgettable beer.

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | May 23, 2002 Thin, tart around the edges like the various Ice beers. A few more hops would make this a better thin beer - a la Asahi Super Dry, but this is geared towards the thonged aerobics types... PilsnerPeter (2653), Flushing, New York, USA
| 0.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Nov 3, 2006 This stuff really gives no suggestions of beer. However it has that funky diet type drink taste. If someones drinking alcohol why be concerned with carbs or health at all? Tastes like straw and soap water. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA
