Do you think our founding fathers like Ben Franklin and George Washington cared about carbs? No way!!! Either drink beer or drink water, but stop this insanity! The only thing Ultra about this is its level of suckitude. Ernest (4491), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 0.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | May 20, 2003 Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is clear ULTRA light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, cereal), hint of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. God, how boring it must be to brew for one of the giants. Popcorn husk smell, extremely thin/watery/fizzy, and almost completely transparent/colorless...is it really beer? Michelob Eunuch would have been a more suitable moniker. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

No aroma and no flavor. Very watery palate. Still refreshing and a better beer than many low alcohols. But then again. dont drink this unless the water is poluted. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 0.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Mar 9, 2005 Strong pea-soup aroma is completely unappealing. Clear pale golden colour with decent white head that recedes to cover with some marginal lacing. Mild sweetness and light peppery spiciness to the flavour but the DMS overwhelms. Moderate carbonation and very light body with somewhat watery texture. Bottle sampled with ClarkVV and muzzlehatch.

A little sweet and attempts to be drinkable. I guess it is better than nothing. Amazing how many bars have it on tap. bhensonb (4288), Woodland, California, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Nov 4, 2007 There is an aroma. Could be malt and hop. Very pale gold color with a decent white head. Very thin body with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is not bad - straight pale malt. It’s at least as tasty as a number of NAs (though not the Bitburger). Something of a paper/herb finish. Bitter is not detectable by my palate.
