Pours a golden color with a white head that doesn’t last. Aroma is of citrus, yeast, lemon, spices, coriander, and a slight hint of banana. Starts off with the coriander and spices and then the citrus and lemon flavors come next. Finishes with a very slight alcohol warming but not as much as I would expect from 8%. Surprised with the flavor of this brew after I was disapointed with the aroma. This brew does have a standard belgian strong ale taste too it but is slightly muted from others that I’ve had.

12 oz bottle. Clear golden color with bubbly white head that quickly reduced to a thin cap. A bit of lace was left on the glass at the end. Smells very much like a wit with yeasty bread dough and coriander. Coriander is also prominent in the flavor, but there is also malty cereal grain in the background. Light sweetness with a detracting subtle metallic note. Didn’t get any hint that this one was 8%.

On tap @ Coles Buffalo NY. one of the better American stabs @ Belgian wit. Alcohol pretty well hidden so can catch up on you if you think your drinking a 5% wit.

This beer tries hard to be like Duvel and other European Belgian Strong Ales, but falls just short in all categories. This pours to the expected golden color witrh white head, though it is not thick and pillowy like the classics. Aroma is spicy but muted, and while the flavor does in fact have the spicy clove and slightly sweet flavor, as well as a tingling mouthfeel, the finish does not linger well, but ends rather quickly. Not a bad attempt by a U.S brewer, but by no means a true Belgian Strong Ale.

Thin white head which dissipates quickly. Light carbonation. Malty sweet corn aroma. Kind of like a belgian triple. Little bit of fruit also. Color is a medium gold. Light malt and cereal flavor with some light fruit again. White grape and pear. Flavor starts off a little weak but finishes nicely. Minimal alcohol presence for a 8% er. FInish is slick and a little dry. Some vinuous notes at the finish. Some alcohol warming. This actually turned out to be better than I expected. Decent stuff.

From the bottle... little aroma and mass domestic straw coloring. Expected flavor, not bad. Finished ok. Would use as a session beer.

Pale golden color. Slightly cloudy. Small head, little carbonation. Aroma is sweet and malty. Taste is citrusy, mostly lemon and orange, with an extremely sweet finish.

Clear yellow pour, little to no head. Aroma has is sweet with honey. There is ginger present, some clove. Nice mix of herbs. Not too much carbonation. lighter bodied then it should be. On ok beer,
