It is about time that an American brewer took on this style. Great lace work going on. Fruity, spicy, citrusy, and did I mention...delicious!I know Pierre is Belgian but at least it is made in America. Other than John Harvard’s brewhouse, I don’t know any one else who has attempted this style. Great work! Please come back Celis!

12 oz bottle. Grand Cru isn’t a style per say, but a special beer, or a brewery’s "best" offering. Celis Grand Cru is that in my opinion. This beer was more impressive to my tastes than the White and the Pale Bock. This beer is a spiced Beglian ale, and has good spicy aromas and flavor. This beer pours to a slightly hazy, golden color, with a thick, white head, and a good carbonation. The nose on this beer is very nice with aromas of corriander and orange peel. The palate is firm with some good pale malt flavors, with a nice corriander and orange note, and hints of spicy ginger. This beer finishes with more good pale malt up front, then ends with some spicy corriander and orange peel flavor that lingers. Well done, very enjoyable beer that makes a great aperitif, or would work well with deserts. Wish the Celis White had the spice and orange character this beer has.

A softer textured and more flavor-amplified version of the White. Another incredible beer from Celis!

Yummmmm. Why can’t more American brewers try this style out? R.I.P.- Celis brewery

Cloudy yellow color with small head. I’m not sure how long this has been retired but it was pretty damn effervescent. Aromas of hops, malt, spice and orange peel. Taste is orange right up front with the malty body right behind. An awesome beer. A bit of mellow spice finishes it off.

I am in love with this beer! Honey, citrus & a tad spicy. One of the favorites from MBC because of its consistency and reliability. A belgian that can be tasted by anyone. Girls, guys, even kitties! Honey, honey, honey!
