Taste pretty bitter, even acid, although it starts almost sweet. Aroma just OK. Altogether, a fairly ordinary beer, un-outstanding... but then I am not a bock enthusiast. Didn’t really hate that one, but not ready to try it again either. Aggie80 (708), Michigan, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 21, 2004 Found this drinkable, but too thin for a bock, although the bitterness wasn’t thin. Had decent aroma and appearance, but fell short overall. kumite56 (461), Cordova, Tennessee, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Oct 9, 2004 I was underwhelmed with this beer. Anemic white head on a copper colored hazy body. Aroma was decent with a grainy character. Taste is initially lightly sweet with a sl bitter finish. Pretty plain beer with nothing outstanding. I dont think Stone should start looking over its shoulder from this brewer. Cornfield (4940), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA

Not much of an aroma... slight malt. Kind of sweet and creamy in the mouth with a bitter finish. Not very impressive.

Medium weight with with not much of a finish. Nutty, light cream flavors without much of a finish. Boring, drinkable, though not very interesting yet well made.

rerate 2-17.bottle. a nice pour i can’t find a flaw with nice dark tan with an amber tint and a nice creamy one finger head. a nice looking beer. aroma is grainy and a bit dull but notes of some odd spice is noticeable. taste is rough rubber hop and oversweet malt. i think this has sat around to long, but i’m not sure. definite toffee notes here with a sour finish. i think it is the finish that makes me think it is past. but it is still a decent beer. i see it is retired, but i don’t know how long it has sat so i’ll post away on this one. its the rubber raw taste in the finish that ruins this otherwise tasty brew.4,5,5,2,8 Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
