Pours amber with a medium sized head...smells malty and spicy with a hint of citrus...smells a lot more complex and tasty than it actually is...taste is bland and watery with no detectable hops...slight sour malt finish...

Copper colored with an off-white head. Weak nose. Faint hints of spice and perhaps malt. Light bodied. Carbonated. Flavor was lightly sweet and spicy and unimpressive. Not a retirement that will be missed.

Bottle - Pours a dark gold color with a nice big off white head that faded within a few minutes. Aroma is of some malt that is lightly spiced with something unidentifiable (to me). Fairly light in flavor without much of the distiinctive boldness of a belgian ale (its heritage, of course) and leans to neither a strong malt or hop. Palate is really too watery. Slightly metalic and mildly bitter after taste; could be the bottling. Not a very impressive beer, but it is pretty easy drinking.

I have no idea what makes this a Belgian Ale, but it is a nice every day type beer that has gone well with almost every food I’ve paired it with. Quickly disappearing head, with a really nice aroma, well-balanced although a little on the thin side for the style.

Okay, this stuff is better than it is being rated as. Or it could be that I just got a good bottle or something. It came to me via the malt of the earth club (beer of the month club). It isnt great for those hop heads or malt lovers but it is quite balanced. Copper and clear with a medium medium lasting slippery lacing head. Nose is fresh and easy . Light hops, taste is hoppy and coppery. Finishes quite malty and smooth. Good.

Reddish amber color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is malty, fruity and spicy. A medium to light bodied ‘Belgian Ale’. Malts are fruity and sweet. Spicy and sweet. Nicely malty and fruity. I’m not sure that I would call this beer a bock or a Belgian ale, but it is tasty and I won’t mind drinking a bunch of it. Well balanced. Light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Golden color. Very simple beer, with some sweetish body and caramel, but boring…
