Pours a clear reddish copper, with lively carbonation and an inch of nearly white sudsy foam. Okay head retention, no lacing. Malty aroma - bready and yeasty with a hint of cherry liquer. The malt flavor is on the dry side, a little bit toasted, a little bit of sweetish grain. Slight earthy bitterness in the finish reminds me of cherry pit, oak tannin, and a subdued pine hop. Medium body, very mild carbonation

Good--a touch bitter, but essentially an easy drinking amber. Doesn’t stack up to some of the truly great bock beers.

Amber with an off white head. Caramel and malt in the aroma. Sweet malt, caramel and subtle spice flavors. Easy drinking.

12 oz bottle. I had this several times back when it was brewed in Texas and remember it being pretty decent. Either my tastes have changed or the beer’s taste has. I suspect the latter. Poured a clear copper-orange color with a rapidly reducing off white head. Smelled decent enough, like a mixture of brown sugar, rum, and raisin. Horrible flavor, though. There was some hay, grassy hops, a touch of brown sugar, and fig. It was slightly sweet, but the delicate sweetness was overcome by a merciless astringent bitterness that lingered and lingered. Mouth feel was disappointingly thin and watery. Bleh.

Thin off-white head of sudsy bubbles. Light carbonation. Sweet caramel and brown sugar aroma. Almost like a caramel apple. Color is slightly hazy dark copper brown. Fizzy in the mouth. A little bit of sharp spicy bitterness. Medium to light palate. Light malts. Maybe even some tartness. Dry roasty finish with more spices and fizz. This is not a belgian ale. And this is not a very good beer.

(12oz bottle) Clear copper body with small beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, candi sugar, nectarine/peach, caramel, bread. Taste is medium sweet, spicy, some caramel, herbal/earthy, metallic. Creamy light-medium body with light acidity.

Bottle. Pours amber with a frothy off white head. Aroma of bread, wet grains, and butter. Mouthfeel is a tad watery. Flavor of caramel, butter, rotten orange. Mild bitter finish with notes of soap and grape seeds. This was disappointing. Next.
