There is an odd, cheap peanut-candy scent that really distracts from the coriander and raspberry nose. Lousey raspberry and coriander flavor; like a bad wit that someone covered up with artificial raspberry flavor. Total drain pour; I could not finish 1/2 a bottle. Absolutely foul! Nice looking pour, a golden-pink with a modest sized head. Oddly, I’m getting a strong vanilla nose with a touch of berries. In flavor, it seems like a golden with a bit of fruit and a large dollop of vanilla extract. Very, very mildly tart finish. Strangely, I find this quite drinkable.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jul 2, 2006 Bottle- As a raspberry lover, I was quite disappointed in this brew. The nose and color had just a hint of fruit. Nice carbonation and mouthfeel, but the taste was more of a sugar syrup than fruit. I’ll stick with Founder’s Rubaeus or go with a lambic if I really want raspberry in a beer. TheBeerGod (3171), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 1, 2006 Bottle. Pours a reddened amber with a small off-white head. Nose is slightly fruity with lots of dusty yeast notes, sweet malts, and spice. Almost smells like a witbier with some berry syrup added to it. Taste is slightly tart raspberries, dusty yeast, sweet malts, light spices and grains. Body is light and a bit peppy. Finishes with a strong spice and grain flavor with lighter tart berries and soft yeast notes. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 29, 2006 Made a decent appearance, poured a slightly hazy pink hued golden with a foamy white head that settled into a thin lacing, good carbonation.
Had a nose of powdery vanilla, wheat malts and the faintest of tart raspberry.
A crisp and smooth lightish medium bodied mouthfeel, because of the taste, below average drinkability.
I have to agree with other reviews about the extract quality of the brew, the raspberries aren’t juice-like, but dry powdery and not that tart, the dry powdery vanilla flavor is more pronounced than the raspberries, a bland wheat malt base and dry powdery finish.
This was very disappointing, I really liked the witbier, so I had hopes for this, but was letdown. Dry powdery is the description of this brew for me.

Smooth with a nice belguin undertone, just too much fake fruit. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA

| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Jun 17, 2006 Just plain disgusting. More like a wannabe belgian style fruit beer to extreme extremes. You can taste and smell the raspberries, but everything just comes across as blahness. Wasnt expecting much, and it didnt dissapoint on expectations. Not for me.
