12 oz. bottle. Pours a light abmer/orange. Aroma was floral and spices, and malt. Flavor was a touch a raspberry and tart. I just didn’t really care for this one at all.

Pours light peach with a large white head. The aroma is banana and spices, no raspberry to speak of. The flavor is bubble gum, clove, vanilla, banana and a touch of raspberry. Finish is slightly tart. Soft carbonation, thin mouthfeel.

Faintly hazy pink grapefruit coloured ale with a thin white head. Sweet malt aroma. Rather chemical raspberry taste with fresh malt. Watery bodied. Deception. Mondiale 2005.

[bottle - 12 oz] Hazy orange pour with a slight pinkish twinge to it. Not much of a head. Slightly sweet aroma at first but then become yeasty and bready. Almost borders on skunked. The taste is like a mixture of cotton candy, yeast, quinine and some nerds candy. Rather interesting, but not very good.

Raspberry, cotton candy, caramel, something perfumey. The nose is not what I expected. Body is clearish gold with slight ruby notes. Flavor of caramel, sweet but not syrupy or soda-esque raspberry/blueberry. Maplely malt finish with a bit of wheat, raspberry. I enjoy this more than most fruit beers

Bottle: Pours a pale orange-pinkish-yellow. Quickly dissipating, small pinkish head. Sweet vinous nose, candied raspberry aroma. Fizzy palate, quite sweet, lacking any real flavor though. Light in body, candied raspberryass, quite boring as far as I am concerned. I would say you could dump this down the drain.

(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with Sully, thanks Mike) I drank this beer years back when Pierre was making this beer out of the Texas brewery, but the beer color doesn’t match what I have recorded in my notes. Instead of hazy and golden, this incarnation is crystal clear, and peachy-red in color, and there is no sediment in the bottle, so this isn’t as "Belgian style" as the new brewery wants us to believe. Also according to my notes, the flavor featured a tart raspberry, but wow, talk about not even coming close! Though the beer may start out being somewhat tart, it finishes very sweet, and the raspberry flavor shows obvious signs of that dreaded artificial flavoring I hate so much in fruit beers. Come on, man, make it taste like the actual fruit, or don’t bother. The only redeeming flavor quality of this beer is the Belgian spiciness, and I really like this aspect of the beer. And the nose is spicy, sweet and filled with raspberry, and that’s pretty nice as well. Otherwise, it’s entirely forgettable. Light bodied, for sure, and cloying on the palate. The pinkish-white head is bubbly and settles to a thin ring. Yeah, so it’s not terrible, but just not even close to the same beer. And in a way, it’s kind of like raspberry soda. Actually, maybe that’s it exactly: it’s raspberry soda!

12oz. Ok, this smells like cold hotdogs I used to eat when I was 5. Not very pleaseant. Taste is a little better, light raspberry, very carbonated and fizzy, a hint of raspberries and a finish of light bitterness.
