Puts Hoogarden to shame.
10/07 Celis beers brewed by Michigan Brewing Co. are no longer available in Texas. Repeated attempts to contact the brewery were unsuccessful. Our bad... unclebleen (620), California, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 9, 2004 Pours a pale straw color with a white fluffy head that leaves fine lacing down the glass. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 2, 2004 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Cloudy, pale yellow colour, with thin-ish white head. Aroma is fresh, citrusy, with melon in there as well, I think. Flavor is sour and citrus and some acidity. Light, with a watery, carbonated, mouthfeel. Not bad. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2004 Not bad, a very good hot summer quaffer. A little bit bigger mouthfeel than what I was expecting, but not unbalanced. Rich and full of flavor, and very high in acidity and that makes it a good palate cleanser. Clean and crisp and a bit chalky but overall quite enjoyable. Tejas (702), Dallas, Texas, USA

There’s not much negative I can say about this except that it tasted far better when it was brewed in Austin. Now it’s too crisp & clean - less flavor. Still it’ll get good marks from me just for old times sake.
