Commercial Description:
Celis White has been revived by Michigan Brewing Company with the blessing of its founder and his daughter, Christine Celis. The original Celis White, brewed in Austin, TX by Pierre Celis during the early and mid 1990's, ceased production when Mr. Celis closed his Austin microbrewery and moved to Belgium.

Pale blond color. Lemony aroma. Lemony taste, very light and slightly sour… Not very good.

Celis may be better and her’s what I said about Hoegaarden: Don’t forget this one for that crisp refreshing summer cold drink. An upscale after a sweat quick one - or two :-) - that you’ll find cloudy, pale moon yellow, a touch spiced, white headed and satifying.

Cloudy and yeasty. Fresh aroma of clove and fruity notes. Refreshing citrus flavors. Lace all along the glass. Overall, good white.

Draught at Den Tatoverede Enken, Copenhagen, Denmark. Hazy, orange colour. Really fresh aroma with a spices and citrus. The aroma comes again in the flavour. Really fresh.

Smells and looks good, but rather forgettable. Does have some decent spiciness, but there’s something there that just didn’t appeal.

I had this when it first came out, when Miller took complete control, and MBC’s version. MBC: Poured amber with decent head. Smells of yeast, citrus and fruit. Tastes light and refreshing with citrus and slight hop. A great lawnmower beer with enough citrus to be interesting and different, although I admit I’ve never had more than 2 at any one sitting. I had this again recently and was underwhelmed .. tasted more like a hefe than a wit. Disappointing. I hope this was a bad batch.

Pale cloudy orange with a huge lasting white head. Lots of interesting aromas in this beer! Most dominant is a combination of yeast and citrus but underneath is alot of undertones especially wheat and spices. Flavour is interesting too. Citrus is a bit too dominant for me, but also tons of wheat, with a honey sweat finish. A bit watery at the end, but i guess thats ok for a belgian white ;-) A good witbier, but not as good as some of the "real" belgians ;-)

bottle-Well this beer does exit and it is noew brewed by Michigan Brewing. Cloudy off white appearance. Smell of clove, somce spices and belgian yeast. nice body for the style. Sweet and sour flavors of both banana's counteracting the hops that do exist in this beer. I wish i had the old version.
