Jun 21, 2003 This white ale pours a cloudy golden color with a small, diminishing white head. It has a wonderfully enticing aroma of candy, spices, and wheat. It has a light to medium body with full, crisp carbonation a slightly creamy mouthfeel. The flavors burst forth with lots of orange and coriander, which dwindle in the finish, but the finish has a lingering sweetness. Very good, very spicy, and very refreshing.

Jun 21, 2003 Woah. This is way to sweet. Its that Belgian sticky sour sweet taste, but this one over does it. Maybe I just got a bad bottle, but it was not drinkable. I'll try it on top next time I'm at Ashley's, and re-rate it if its different.

Jun 9, 2003 Cloudy golden color,small bubbley white head.Grassy wheat aroma.The taste was weaty sweet at first the it turned to a lightly sour taste,with a mildly lemon flavor coming on at the middle and end of the taste the after taste was more of a lemon grass then anything.Not to bad a brew but there are better ones out there.

May 26, 2003 Head dissapppeared pretty quichly. real light body (of course) Light malts some banannas and dry barley. A bit of spice, coriander. Some cloying helpd to hold flavors longer, improved substantially as it warmed. Citrucy and sweet, wheaty and smooth. Not too bad on a summer evening when the sun is going down and it's finally starting to cool down.

May 26, 2003 I first had this beer while still brewed by Celis, then when Miller took over the quality fell, now I hope that the new brewery in Michigan restores this beer to it's world-class status. Rating based on the on latest bottle offering. Standard cloudy yellow color with a small but solid head, medium-bodied. Cloves and citrus in the aroma. Tart taste that is balanced a hint of sweetness. Lingering spiciness on palate. Very refreshing.

May 23, 2003 Pours a light straw-yellow color with a thick, white head. Aroma is coriander and banana, and the flavor is a nice medley (I thought I'd never use that word...) of bananaesque esters, yeast, coriander, and orange peel. These witbiers sure are refreshing. They are like the wine coolers of the beer world...

May 20, 2003 On tap at Ashley's, Ann Arbor. Quite good cold, right out of the gate - all the right clove and banana - but got too thin really quick upon warming. A hint of cloudy grey mixed in with the yellow.

May 20, 2003 Pleasantly more sweet and estery notes in the nose than other wits. Since this recipe was formulated by Peter himself, this must be what a good wit should taste like. There is an acidic tartness present that adds good dimensionality. Very enjoyable.
