| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 15, 2008 This is a top-notch example of the Belgian Wit style, one I’d recommend to anyone, and a great beer for summer drinking and pairing with spicy foods. (Try it with spicy buffalo chicken pizza.) It has an attractive sunny gold, hazy bright "white" appearance with a fluffy, soft head that’s smallish and short-lived. There is a very straightforward and fragrant aroma of strong yeast and grainy wheat with fresh, ripe banana, pineapple, peach, zesty lemon, and tart phenolic complexities. Nice... The taste is bold and bright, with refreshing, spicy, and gently sour lactic acidity. The beer is citrussy and grainy, with bready wheat, orange peel and fresh apricot. Nice, crisp and invigorating on the palate, with a light-weight, smooth body that hints at being watery but keeps itself in line with an empowering, big banana finish. As stated before, the spiciness of the coriander matches well with any good spicy dish, while the calming fresh citrus notes soothe the tongue and caress the palate. jeffwilliams11 (310), hooterville, Michigan, USA
