Bottle shared with HogTownHarry & tupalev -- my bottle courtesy of MrManning. Pours a cloudy dark pink-ruby with some sediment and a spare light-pink head. Slightly mild aroma of tart cherries, malt and sugar. Flavour of tart cherries with some spices and alcohol -- a little cloying. The aftertaste is a bit harsh, probably due to the high alcohol but I didn’t find it overly boozy. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied. Decent enough but best enjoyed in small samples.

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry and Blankboy, Paul’s bottle in trade with Mrmanning. Light cherry red, small pink head. Bottled cherry like aroma - sweet. Taste: tart cherry, sticky sweet. Way too sweet actually, no beer like character at all. Harsh cherry like liqueur, lots of alcohol. Boozy and one dimensional - can’t drink it and would never want to again.

Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy and tupalev, blankboy’s bottle via trade with MrManning. Clear bright ruby-red, not much head. Aroma of ripe stewed sour cherries, yeast, quite sweet, not much actual beer character. Taste is tart, yet also syrupy-sweet - and incredibly bitter - I can’t say where the bitterness comes from - maybe the 9%? - it’s almost medicinal but not harsh enough - weird. Average body, lightly fizzy, syrupy ... just odd, not one I’ll have again.

Bottle from the brewery- Pours a pink lemonade body with a very thin white rim. Aromas are mostly faux fruit with sweet juice. Some cherry. Taste is sweet/tart cherry with fruit juice and sweeter. Chalky finish. Felt like 15% after I was done. Empty stomachs will do that to you when it is a 9% beer drank in 10 minutes.

12 oz bottle. Starburst cherry looking color with a small ring as a head. Aroma is sweet tarts and aspirin. Taste is smooth and not that bad. Nice tartness with some saccharin. I can only guess fresh Michigan cherries are used in this. Yeah it falls short of some of the good ones, I still respect the effort.

Interesting fruit beer. A bold beer that almost come off like a wine cooler times 3, but maintains the dubbel style. Tremendous cherry flavor that overwhelms the whole brew. Who ever heard of a dubbel fruit anyway? Well done because its unique and if women caught on to this one they would flock to it! One of a kind!

Draft sampler at MBC. Dark red color with a small white head that diminished quickly. Medium body with a sticky texture. Heavy sour cherry flavor with a sweet short alcohol tone finish.
