Commercial Description:
Our interpretation of a legendary style is not for the timid. Strong, assertively hoppy and dangerously seductive. A skillful blend of three premium barley malts with generous amounts of Northern Brewer and Cascade Hops creates a special ale to satisfy even the most demanding palate.

12oz. bottle poured golden brown (and quite cloudy) into my pint glass producing an off-white head which quickly dissapated. Aroma was citrus with some floral tones. Dry on the tongue, ample carbonation, bitter finish that lasts for awhile. Mouthfeel was just a little more than thin. Thin lacing on the glass at finish. Nice and bitter IPA that went great with some spicy stir fry I was having.

Beer of the month. Cloudy slightly reddish lightish amber with abundant carbonation and foamy head. Aroma is sweet and grassy also with citrus and some pine and sweet fruit. Starts with only mild sweetness, and then the bitter comes quick. A too light on body, with a high alcohol "hot" flavor as well. This beer has bitter hops throughout, and they stay on the tongue after a swig.

From a 12oz Bottle. Pours a nice transparent honey amber color with a tall layer of soapy white head. Vegetal hop aromas create a strong hop presence in the bouquet, not really citrusy or piney, but floral with edges of celery leaf. Light to medium bodied, refreshingly carbonated mouthfeel. Deep hop bitterness thats pleasant, and brimming with loads of minty vegetal hops. Some grassy edges with light lemon come through as well. Quite nice overall.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear copper color. Head was off white and settled quickly into a thin foam that left only a bit of lace on the glass. Aroma was primarily malty, a mix of white bread and caramel. Hop aroma was weak and sprucy. Assertive hop bitterness throughout, especially up front. Dry on the tongue with toasted bread and cherry flavors.

A very very bitter drink - Thick and full of earthy malt flavors along with the tangy, citrusy hop essence. The bitterness is heavy but is blensd well with all it provides to the drink. Can’t find anything to complain about with this IPA.

On tap at brewpub. Pours a hazy bronze color with a minimal amount of white head. Aroma is pine, citrus, floral. Flavor is a pine, citrus, some big hit of malt. Palate is slightly thin, sharp aftertaste. Decent.

This one came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy bronze color with a very large dark tan head. The aroma is strong sweet grapefruity hops. The flavor is sharp and crisp fruity hops with moderately strong sour and tangy malts underneath. Solid if unspectacular.

Pours fairly dark with a small head. Nutty aroma with slight sweet floral undertones. Strong bitter taste of a dark IPA. I agree with others when I say it has a prominant grapefruit taste. Very distinct ale.
