Oct 20, 2006 Got this in the beer of the month pack. Light malty nose that had a little fruit in it. Thick off-white head. Had a nice bite to it, lingering finish. Good stuff but not for a session.

Oct 19, 2006 Cloudy, rusty brown, afterthought label, thin foam clings to the side of the glass. Formidable pine hops and vanilla aroma. Initially pretty smooth with a building bitterness, acidic. Pulp wash citrus flavors, green fruit bitter on the lips, bitter in the center of the tongue. Gave me an impression of wateriness and vacancy in the middle of an edgy presentation and a grapefruity finish. Servicable, but formulaic. Ale-in-the-Mail trophy.

Sep 30, 2006 bronze/orange color, head is off-white, substantial. aroma has caramel and very earthy hops, the citrus is virtually nonexistent in the aroma. flavor is somewhat bitter, lots of caramel, and fairly citrusy. finish reminds me of the odor of perspiration. not bad.

Sep 29, 2006 Hazy amber/orange color,small white head that had a decent hang time then faded slowly to leave a bit of lace behind.The aroma was piney and citrusy with a bit of malt in the background.The flavor was very nice with a good piney side some citrus,grapefruit and nice hoppy bite in the end.Very nice brew all around that makes me wish i had alot more for later.

Sep 27, 2006 Thanks to Slikwily for this beer. A thick and hazy ipa, it resembles a wheat beer in appearance and looks better than most of the style. ABV is higher than I expected. Full hop aroma. Flavor is herbal hops, some citrus, and all on a substantial malt base. Very good.

Sep 18, 2006 Rather clear with a big fluffy head. All the good basic qualities of an american IPA. Very hoppy with a sweet balance.

Sep 13, 2006 bottle-poured clear orange with a froathy white head. nose is cascade all the way-piney, slightly eathy with some dirty notes. somewhat green smelling hops. flavors were somewhat muddled compared to the aroma-grassy, lightly piney hops with a honey esque note. body was medium with light carbonation. nothing real special but not a bad beer. i will revisit this one and give it more of a rating.

Sep 5, 2006 pint at Mr. B’s Howell - Aroma is very strong floral and citrus hops with some carmel in the background. Pours cloudy brown/orange with small head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma and is delicious. Palate is crisp and smooth. A very tasty and well balanced IPA.
