Deep cloudy orange-amber with an off-white head. Some toasty malt, but mostly soft floral and resiny hops, slightly sweet. Nice straightforward bitter IPA, citrus hops with a longish bitter finish. Average body, astringent, mildly carbonated - simple but a good hot weather IPA. jerc (3950), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 23, 2006 Dark orange small beige head. Moderate resin, very light grassy notes. Flavour has a lot of resin and and a solid amount of bitterness. Nice but not as complex as it could be. Average palate. jordanartuso (26), lansing, Michigan, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 13, 2006 Very nice. It pours a hazy amber orange with a good lacing, sustained creamy head. Solid powerful aroma of grapefruit, pine, and zest of lemon over a sweet caramel maltiness. There is a strong, sweet malt backbone complemented by an apple fruitiness, but the hoppy bitterness runs the show from this point on as it should... at least, in this hophead’s miind. The sharp citric bitterness lingers a lonnnng time. Nice job.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 12, 2006 Hazy, amber in color with a thin, white head. Aroma is sweet, citrusy, and fruity from a well displayed malt-hop-yeast interaction with some nice toffee/caramel as an underpinning. Very nice flavor with all of the aroma components accounted for and a nice acidity for style. This is a good, not overly contemplative IPA. I really like how the acidity vies against the malt-hop interaction into the very long finish. Simple and delicious. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 3, 2006 Made a good appearance, poured a cloudy orange hued amber with a foamy white head that settled into a thin sudsy lacing, minimal amount of sticking, good carbonation.
Had a hoppy nose of pine and citric rind, a light floral scent as well, with a very subtle grainy maltiness.
A crisp, hop textured on the tongue and smooth, more light than medium bodied mouthfeel, good IPA drinkability.
Hops in the forefront of the taste, a delicious mix of pine and citric rind, a nice mild taste bud numbing from the rolling bitterness, a grainy maltiness, not too sweet, and an resiny, citric hop finish with a light graininess underneath. The alcohol provides a nice warming effect in the palate, otherwise it is well masked.
My personal favorite from Michigan Brewing, a very good Great Lakes IPA, new to my area, a welcomed addition.
