Oily cascade nose, plenty of sweaty grapefruit, straightforward, simple, but effective. Restrained malty aspects. Dry palate, juicy, grapefruity and kinda floral though mostly citric. Light-medium bodied, low to average carbonation fits well. Good IPA. BBB63 (4262), La Porte, Indiana, USA

Another beer for a change of pace just before the last few stouts...Coppery hue with a tight frothy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of herbal and grassy hops, bready malts, pineapple, and a dusty ester. The taste starts with a smooth delivery of bitters and citrus with a nice balance of pale malt. Not very complex but does the job well. The finish even has a bit of hop spice to it. A good brew and something I would drink again. jollyraider (252), Los Angeles, California, USA

West Coast IPA’s. Taste is much differant,
with almost a smoke taste to it with a tinge
of honey. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

and some sweet malts.Very nice brew. Thanks to Styles for this one. flutetokill (515), Fresno, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 13, 2005 Murky dark amber color with a large, creamy off-white head. The aroma burst out with great citrus (lemons, grapefruit, orange) tones, and a bready/sweet background. The flavor was quite sweet...honey maybe...with a huge citrusy/bitter hops character. The feel was rather thick, but still crisp on the tongue...semi-dry finish. Absolutely wonderful IPA. Thanks Wohlfs!
