Commercial Description:
Our interpretation of a legendary style is not for the timid. Strong, assertively hoppy and dangerously seductive. A skillful blend of three premium barley malts with generous amounts of Northern Brewer and Cascade Hops creates a special ale to satisfy even the most demanding palate.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange copper with a large frothy off white head that lasts awhile and leaves behind good sticky lacing on the glass. The aroma is floral hops with honey and citrus. Medium bodied with a sweet hop taste with caramel and citrus and a nice smooth finish. Easy to drink and hides the alcohol well. A very good IPA from Michigan Brewing Company.

Pours a copper orange color with small head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Piney, citrusy hops on the nose. Flavor is malt right up front, then the hops come marching in...citrus peel, pine and grapefruit rind. Good mouthfeel with a bitter finish.

12oz bottle 7/14/09 (Siciliano’s Market-Grand Rapids)-Pours a slightly hazy light amber with a big loose off white head. Aroma of citrus hops, malt, and grapefruit. Taste of citrus, hops, malt, and a little pine. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and quite tasty. Good job.

Yes, this beer was made in Michigan. No, this is not Bells. Yes, they receieved a tax break for making a beer with Kid Rock. No, I’m not brining anything back for you f$%ers- 12 oz. bottle served in shaker- poured semi transparent when held to a light source, darkened tan with heavy copper and faint ruby hues. Low carbonation, inviting 2 mm head formed, laced very nicely, and stayed around like Granholm- but in a good way this time. Aroma of floral notes, malt, and super sweet Michigan taffy- hey lady! Hits the mouth with a high-medium body, the caramelized malt has held up well, malt takes it to the middle and elevates it with some mild maple syrup sweetness while the hops raise some hell in the background, finish is faintly acidic, smakes you heartly across your face, and makes you take another sip. Wish I could take this off a charter off Grand Haven, Port Huron, or any small lake inland for fishing. Definition of an IPA. Enough said.

Tap. Cloudy copper pour with a small, lasting, dense, off-white head. Lots of lacing too. Floral citrus aroma with some bready malt. Very floral, almost perfumey, hop flavor with notes of sweet caramel, lemon, pine, spice and a dry, earthy, biscuit malt background. Medium body with plentiful carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a coppery color with a finger of puffy head. Aromas are pleasant enough... a little bit of floral and grapefruit hops. Flavor is crisp and fresh, with a bit of a bite to it... grapefruit and pine are the main hops presences, and malt is present but could be a little fuller to balance out the biting finish a little better. Still, this is good enough... a bit thin, but decent.
