Fruity, piney nose, quite sugar maltyness and some notes of beef-stock. Lovely piney and citrusy hop flavor, with a good bitterness and balancing malty sweetness. Full body. Long, piney finish balanced with malty sweetness. Really pleasant, without being world class. (080710) mabel (2612), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 11, 2008 Pour is a copper with a fizzy white head. Aroma is a very clean smalling hop but not much else. Flavor is decent with a intense grapfruit and caramel malt backbone. This was a decent beer. OleR (2095), Oslo, Norway

Crisp and bitter ending. Very nice. BeerBaron617 (306), Novi, Michigan, USA

This pours a classic IPA amber/orange with a slightly smokey aroma. The flavor is also on the smokey/oaky side, And I prefer a fruitier IPA typically. But overall, it’s a very good IPA, and a good representation of the style. 2jayjay2 (6), Roseville, Michigan, USA does not count | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Jul 19, 2008 This beer is one of the best examples of the ipa style. Aggressive hops at the beginning and finish. A beautifully balanced ale designed for hopheads only.
