Commercial Description:
Our interpretation of a legendary style is not for the timid. Strong, assertively hoppy and dangerously seductive. A skillful blend of three premium barley malts with generous amounts of Northern Brewer and Cascade Hops creates a special ale to satisfy even the most demanding palate.

(Bottle) Pours amber with an off white head. The aroma is of floral, grapefruity, orangey and lime/lemony hops. The malt is light toasty and caramelly. Fruity undertones of mango and apricot/peach. The flavour is hoppy with citric, woody, resiny and floral notes. Clean malty with toasty tones. The mouthfeel is light crisp, clean and a bit dry. Some subtle fruits in the undertones. Dry citric aftertaste. Medium bodied.

Hazy, golden orange in color. Citrus and hops aroma, with pine too. Very hoppy in taste, with citrus peel and pine. A quite nice IPA.

Courtesy of Quake1028. Pours with a bit of haze with an orange to gold body along with decent looking off white head. It has a bold aroma of citrus, pine and grassy hops with mild sticky sweet malts. The taste has an even sense of malty sweetness that mixes with mild grapefruit hops, stronger pine hops and grassy hop bitterness. Before midway the bitterness seems to peak before the taste becomes more malty sweet into the finish. Grapefruit and pine hop bitterness seems to resurge and grow in strength some into the after taste.

Courtesy of someone cool, unfortunately I forget who it was. Not sure how old this one was but it came off very fresh and juicy, so I guess that’s a moot point. Amber pour with orange mixed throughout. Good sized off white head is fully lasting and leaves great lacing for the style. Nose of citrus rind and peel, assorted spices, pine cones, bitter hops and fresh cut grass. Tastes really fresh as well, the hops are bright and vibrant, and mix well with the pine and spicy notes. Caramel malts are apparent in a good quantity at this stage. Crisp, medium bodied and lively carbonation. Slick mouthfeel thanks to the hops. Finish is a bit astringent, pine resin and hop bite, then some sweetness from the malts. This is a really, really good beer and was the surprise of the tasting session for me.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Warehouse Liquors in Duluth, Minnesota. Pours a semi-hazy orange amber brew with a thick and lumpy off-white head that has excellent lacing, retention and texture. Aroma of grapefruit zest, some Chanel 5 perfume, a touch of multi-grain malt and more flowery hops. Taste is tart fruity, some multi-grain malt, with a hop presence that is over the top. Finish is quite bitter with a lingering mild bitterness that hides most other flavors. One of the better beers I’ve tried during my trip.

Bottle: Not a bad IPA, but nothing special. I would put it at about middle of the road. Pours amber with a decent head. Flavor and aroma of hops.

Hazy dirty gold color with a two finger white head with good lacing. The aroma is wonderful. Hops galore. Very floral, cascade very noticeable. A slight hint of citrus in the nose as well. The flavor brings the malt more into the fold of things but the hops still stand out nicely. Well balanced with a solid body and nice bitter, but not overly bitter, finish.
