Some brown sugar and caramel malt... but not a lot. Pours a dark orange/amber with a thin white head leaving so-so lacing. Flavor is dry. Dry and grassy hops. Just a touch of malt. Not overly complex but not offensive. Medium bodied. Average carbonation finishing spicy and dry. JustinBennett (67), junction city, Kansas, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 20, 2007 Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is pretty malty with very little hop aroma. Caramel malts domintate with some fruit and only a slight hint of citrus hops. Flavor is pretty much the same. Not what I would like from an APA. Does have a slight bitterness on the finish. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 28, 2007 A typical over hopped pale ale. Tastes more like an IPA. Mouthfeel is smooth, some presence of malts, but finish is too dry-bitter. Little tastes of citrus-floral, mostly spicy hops. Didn’t like that much. theisti (1671), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 28, 2007 12oz. bottle from Dansting. Pour is orange ruby with a quick fading off white head. Aroma is sweet nutty malt with a hint of sourness (initially) which goes away quickly. Taste is a nice blend of the nutty malt and some of the muted citrus hop. Good solid Pale Ale. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 20, 2007 Pours medium dark amber, forming little to no foam head. Aroma is of malty caramels, a little bit of hops. Flavor is of dry hoppish malts, somewhat full in character. Yes, indeed, this is more of an English style IPA, than as oppose to an APA. Sorry my English friends, our American IPA’s are far superior. This particular beer is OK, definatley a sessioner. jtw (942), farmington, Michigan, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 25, 2007 poured a light amber with a small head and relatively low carbonation. gummy aroma more malty than hoppy, so much so that i almost took it for an english pale ale than an american pale. certainly not bitterly hoppy but it’s still reasonably well-balanced. medium body with slightly more bitterness on the tongue than on the nose, but nowhere near hoppy. finish leans toward an overclean chemical dryness despite some malt throughout. likable but not very memorable Crash (448), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 24, 2007 Poured orange with light off-white head and no lacing. Citrus aroma mostly with some hops added in. I don’t really like to many pale ales so this was no shock.
