| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 29, 2006 Bottle... Clear light amber ale with a small, wispy, off-white head. Butterscotch nose with additional notes of earthy hops. Caramel-sweet flavor with some hops thrown in seemingly as an afterthought. Medium-bodied with a mildly creamy mouthfeel and middle-of-the-road carbonation. Finishes sweet, then crisp and modestly bitter. Almost the very definition of a solid English IPA. barleyPops (1081), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 25, 2006 Bottle from Sean. Thanks. Pours out a bright brown color with a yellowish head. Smell is full of bananas and sweet fruity flavors. Taste is not near what I thought it would be based on the smell. Hopped up and kind of bitter, without much of a citrus fruity presence at all. The smell leads you to believe the beer is going to almost be a fruit beer, but the taste proves that it is, in fact, an american pale ale. Not a bad beer, could be a pretty good session beer. Seemed to have more of a kick than a 5.5% beer to me..
