Oct 8, 2006 Draft at Bling Pig in Champaign. Pours amber red with a very nice fluffy off white head. Not much of a nose. Malt profile is of caramel and toasted grains. Spicy hop finish, and some faint aspirin notes.

Aug 25, 2006 A golden color slightly darker than what I expected. Off white head, with a slight brownish tint to it. The aroma was a little displeasing to me, a slight malt. The taste was dry and a little bitter, but not great.

Jul 25, 2006 Cloudy amber color, touches of orange and a thin, white head. Sweet, syrupy, barleywine-esque malt aroma with a resiny, complimentary hop. Flavor is not as big as the aroma (but that is good for the style). The flavor is rather malty and the hop flavor is not very interesting, somewhat woody. The palate is somewhat disturbing as well with its winy, odd acidity and overly long, syrupy finish.

Jul 1, 2006 Made a good appearance, poured a slightly hazy light amber with a foamy head that settled into a thin lacing, minimal amount of sticking, good carbonation.
Had a malty nose, toasted and lightly roasted, caramalized, with a fuggles fruitiness framing the edges.
A crisp and smooth light bodied mouthfeel, good APA drinkability.
Nice malty taste, a sweet caramelized sugary balanced by a toastiness, a light fruity and piney hoppiness, a tea flavor emerges towards the end and a dry malty and leafy finish.
A decent APA from Michigan Brewing, very quaffable.

May 13, 2006 Bottle. Small ivory fizzy head that mostly diminished with minimal lacing, slightly hazy, fizzy carbonation, and an orange hue. Sweet, citrus hoppy nose. Sweet malty flavor and mildly hoppy. Tingly mouthfeel. Medium body.

Apr 27, 2006 This bottled brew for $1.49 from Indianapolis poured a medium sized head of foamy mostly lasting off-white colored bubbles that left behind a transparent yet slightly hazy carbonated brown colored with a soft orange hued body and a good lacing. The aroma was that of a medium caramel hop. The mouth feel was tingly from start to finish with a nice hoppy aftertaste. It had a good mediumly hopped caramel malt flavor.

Mar 1, 2006 Tap at the brewpub- Dark tan-orange body with a whisk of beige head. Good citric acid aroma, with a mix of bread and molasses. Good balance. Flavours are much of the same, with a good pine base and malt sweetness. Well rounded, if not a little weak on the finish.
